How animals survive in their natural habitat by Shaima Room 4 Yr. 5

How animals survive in their natural habitats

Have you ever wondered how animals survive in their natural habitat? In this explanation, I will provide reasons, as to how animals survive in their natural habitat.

Cheetahs are carnivores which means they only eat meat. The cheetah is the fastest  land animal on the planet, it has long slim legs and it is very sleek. It can cut through air which allows it run very, very fast. Can you imagine running so fast? Some of the cheetah’s competitors are lions, leopards and hyenas. Its speed enables it to compete with these other animals. Without speed it’s survival  would be threatened.

Birds can be all kinds of shapes and sizes, they are mostly small. Birds have limbs which help them fly, the limbs that help them fly are wings. Birds migrate which means flying to other parts of the world when it gets cold. If a bird does not migrate it, will die because of the cold climate. They also migrate to raise their young. Birds live and breed in most terrestrial habitats on all seven continents. Kingfisher birds have long beaks which help them catch fish. Their long beaks help their survival. Their feathers keep them them warm, if they didn’t have feathers they would be very cold and they could die.

Ants get their food in summer, because they can’t move that much in winter. Can you imagine being an ant? Ants work together to get food, because one ant can’t push a whole piece of bread. It would be like one person trying to pick up, three boxes of wood at the same time. Their head has many sensory organs help them find food. Without their sensory organs they won't be able to detect food and their survival would be threatened.

Dolphins are just like human beings even though they live in the ocean, they can’t breathe underwater either. There are many different species of dolphins e.g. bottlenose and spotted dolphins. Dolphins have two flippers, on the underside towards the head and a dorsal fin and a tail fin. Dolphins are very smart, they have a small brain at the top of their head. Dolphins are highly social animals, often living in pods of up to a dozen individuals.

These are all the reasons as to how cheetahs, birds, ants, and dolphins survive in their natural habitat. I trust that your now have an idea.

Have you wondered how animals survive in their natural habitat? In this writing I will provide you with many reasons as to why animals survive in their natural habitat.

One animal is the cheetah. The cheetah is the fastest animal on the planet and it is a carnivore because it eats other animals. Their  speed helps them catch their prey. What if it had a slow body?. The cheetah’s shape and slim body helps it cut through the air. It is adapted to competing with other carnivores, like lions, leopards and hyenas. If the cheetahs were not adapted to their surrounding,  it would be very dangerous because they could become endangered or extinct.

Birds wings have limbs for flying,  these limbs are called wings. These wings come to good use when they are migrating. Some types of birds migrate why? It is because of seasonal changes. If it is too cold to raise their young, they would not survive. If birds didn’t migrate they will die when it is too cold. Some birds have long beaks to help them catch their prey e.g. the kingfisher survives by using its long beak to catch fish.

Ants collect food in summer because in winter their movement is limited. It's too cold for them to move around in winter. Ants are small but they are adapted to helping each other. Ants can collect more food if they work together. If one ant can’t move an insect others would come to help then they would be able to move it.

In conclusion, I trust that I have provided you with many reasons as to how animals survive in their natural habitat.

Have you considered why houses have windows? In this explanation, I will provide you with many reasons as to why houses have windows.

There are many reasons as to why houses have windows, for one houses have windows to allow fresh air into the area and to improve ventilation.  Imagine living in a house with no windows it would be harder to breath every minute. Houses have windows for natural light. This saves money that is wasted on electricity in your everyday life. It is a great way to light up your house in a gloomy, cloudy day.

Windows actually keep sound out .They form a sound barrier against the outside. This is better for a more peaceful remote environment. Houses have windows for all of these reasons, all equally important. Windows provide architectural merit and can improve quality of life by providing you with fresh air when it is opened.

Windows are glass. They can come in different sizes and shapes like square, circle, rectangle or even diamond and can be big medium or small. They can even come in different  colours such as red, blue,or orange although  most windows are plain. This adds to the feature of the house. Without these features, the house will look boring.

We need windows for quick exits in case of fire or earthquakes or if you really need to get out of the house for something important and the house is jammed.  If you have walls surrounding you and a fire occurs, you're going to die if your door isn't going to open. You could then use the window to escape.

In conclusion, I trust that I have provided you with adequate reasons as to why houses have windows.

Have you considered why houses have windows? I will provide you with many reasons as to why houses have windows in their house.

There are many different shapes of windows. e.g. circle ones, square ones and many more. Your house will look attractive with windows. People put blinds and curtains in their house. This will make the house look beautiful from in and outside.

Oxygen is always good for people who have health problems. Having your house stuffy will make sick people more sick. It is better having air running through your house instead of it being damp and dusty. How would you feel if your house was damp and dusty? Windows are also good to have because it will let Oxygen into your house. Without oxygen in your house, it will be hot and stuffy. If you have any health problems, it is always good to have windows so air and oxygen flowing through your house.

Having windows in your house will keep you and your whanau safe. Having windows is always a great thing because there are criminals stealing, robbing, killing and hurting whanau. How would you feel if there were criminals out and about? I certainly will not feel safe.

Having Windows is great because people may want to look outside and see the view. Looking outside is always a great thing. People may want to see what it’s  like outside or if it’s good for children to play.

Windows provide natural light and warmth in the winter. Windows help when it’s winter. You can close them when it’s cold outside. They keep coldness out when it’s winter.

It is also good to have windows in case you need to get out because there might be a fire. Windows are always a good thing to have. Imagine a fire starting and there is no where out. How would you feel if a fire started by the door and there were no windows?

Some people have double glazed  windows. Double glazing windows are useful to  people who require some peace and think time to think, plus who would want their thoughts interrupted by something noisy like a loud screech of tyres?

I trust that I have provided you with many reasons as to why we should have windows in our houses.
